Singapore Garden By The Bay
This is truly an amazing place to spend in Singapore, I didn’t know there are so many thing to explore until I re-visit again few weeks ago.
Supertree Grove
When you entered the garden, you will see giant man made supertree which can be up to 16 storeys high.
These super trees will come alive at night with all the colorful lights and also musical show. The park is very popular and many of my Japanese friends knew about this garden and ask to visit this special garden when in Singapore.
This garden is cooler when visiting at night with musical and light show at 7.45 pm and 8.45 pm daily. Do bring a mat and sit and relax with some snacks to watch this free show!
OCBC Skyway – Fees apply
Going up OCBC Skyway by lift, at the height of 22 m and you will be surrounded by unblocked panoramic view of the whole Garden and Marina Bay skyline. The total walkway is 128 m long! Experience not to be missed!
Indoor Flower Dome and Cloud Forest Dome – Fees apply
Indoor Dome has cooler temperature, about 23-25 C. There are 2 domes that you need to pay to get in, the Flower Dome and the Cloud Forest Dome. To do double dome, cost SGD $ 20. I choose to do the Flower Dome only, and the cost is SGD $ 12 for Indoor Flower Dome. Price for local.
What I like most in the Indoor Flower Dome is the cool air, of course there are many special plants and colorful flowers according to season.
View from Indoor Flower Dome
This is one of the largest green house I have ever visited so far, in fact this is recorded as world largest in 2015 Guinness World Record.
The Canyon
There are many big rocks in funny and beautiful shapes in the Canyon, use your imagination and guess what are these rocks resemble. The odd shapes of rocks were brought in from Shandong China.
The 10 m Chinese Totem pole behind me is crafted out of granite with many dragons around it.
If you are a cactus fan, this is the garden for you. Over 1000 species of cactus can be found in this desert like garden. The cactus come in all different shapes and sizes, thin, tall, long, short, round, you named it and they have it. Do you know dragon fruit is also a cactus species?
Queen Cactus Chair in Sun Pavilion
If you are tired, you can sit on this super cool chair in Sun Pavilion and take some picture. Do I look like the Queen of Cactus in the Sun Pavilion?
Children’s Garden in Garden by the Bay
Water Play
This is a great place for family with young children, kids would love the water features for sure. Do bring along the swim wear and soak under the sun! Do you like my “Monkey King/Sun Wukong/孫悟空’s” pose above?
There is also a lush natural setting of children playground ! Walk inside to explore more of the children playground. As you walk into this small forest, you will find some unique playground which help advance children physically and emotionally.
Lotus Pond in Garden by the Bay
You can find many birds in this lotus pond if you sit there quietly and observe the surrounding. This is a great place for nature photography. Backdrop are the iconic MBS hotel and few Supertrees.
Kingfisher Lake
There are many art sculptures where you could spot them in Garden by the Bay. Go spot as many as you can. Kingfisher sculptures are only few of them.

Meeting Sea Otters at Bay East Garden
I din’t expect I was lucky enough to spot a family of otters crossing the road to the other side of the water.
This family of sea otters are quite playful and having some fun while I watched them play. They are quite shy but very adorable. I did not get too close and give them more space to fight around 🙂
Mini palm tree at the waterfront
“Baywatch Run” at Waterfront Singapore
This is truly a great place to spend a day with family & friends. Many are cycling bicycles or rollerblading or having a good jog at this open space garden. If you love photography, this is the place for you to practice your skill. For me, I am practicing my “Baywatch” run 🙂 Sorry, with plenty of clothes on 🙂
How to get there?
Use Circle Line and alight at Bayfront MRT Station (CE1/DT16) Take Exit B and follow the underground linkway. Exit and cross the Dragonfly Bridge or Meadow Bridge into Gardens by the Bay.
