The Mid-Autumn festival is back again at Gardens by the Bay and this year theme is Autumn Abundance<\/strong>. It was a Sunday evening when I visited the place. If you are driving, go by 6.30 pm in order to secure a car park.<\/p>\n

Indoor Pumpkin Lantern<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Mid<\/a><\/p>\n

Sunflower Field<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Mid<\/a><\/p>\n

There are few scenes of harvest abundance which you should look for. The field here is full sunflower lanterns and if you get closer, you will spot some bees too.<\/p>\n

\"Mid<\/a><\/p>\n

It is located near the Floral Clock area.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

When we think of harvest, we normally associate with bees as they are hardworking and smarts. \u00a0Sunflower representing good spirit, healthy and longevity.<\/p>\n

Flight of the Dragonflies<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Mid<\/a><\/p>\n

I notices the supertrees are all decorated with colorful giant dragonfly lantern. In total there are more than 100 dragonfly!<\/p>\n

\"Mid<\/a><\/p>\n

The Dragonfly is believed to bring happiness, new insights and new beginnings. It is a symbol of prosperity, strength, happiness, change, wisdom, harmony and peace.<\/p>\n

Garden Rhapsody<\/strong><\/p>\n

It was super long queue for the OCBC skyway, all rushing to go up to check out the light up view from a different perspective, a different angle,\u00a0\u00a0at a height of 22 metres and surrounded by panoramic unblocked view.<\/p>\n

Temporary Stage for Art Performance<\/strong><\/p>\n

I saw a group of students were getting ready to perform the Chinese orchestra at the stage.<\/p>\n

\"Mid<\/a><\/p>\n

Grains of Gold<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is a paddy field illuminated with 4,000 glowing rice stalks. Rice is an important source of food diet in Chinese culture so having a field full of glowing rice stalks representing good harvest for the year.<\/p>\n

\"Mid<\/a><\/p>\n

Waters of Prosperity<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is the largest lantern display in Gardens by the bay! The\u00a0lantern set portrays a fishing village teeming with 70 carp-shaped lanterns. \u00a0Fish is also symbols of abundance in Chinese culture.<\/p>\n

It is very interesting to see the old traditional fishing village in front of the stylist modern MBS building.<\/p>\n

Community Project : Illuminations of Joy<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Mid<\/a><\/p>\n

About 1,000 participants helped to create this community arts project to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival. It was created under the guidance of local artists Vijaya Mohan and Didier Ng, the lanterns combine styles of Rangoli and eco-friendly art.<\/p>\n

Phoenix Tunnel<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is one of the highlight in Gardens By the Bay. \u00a0You will be greeted by this colorful phoenix upon arrival, it is located at the entrance.<\/p>\n

The Phoenix tunnel changes it colors so you would find it very beautiful when you walk through the tunnel. \u00a0 Again Phoenix is another symbols to representing good luck.<\/p>\n
