This was my second time to Korea, my first was almost 10 years back and it was a free and easy in Seoul area only. \u00a0What impressed me most from my first time Korea trip was the yummy food. \u00a0Portion was always very big no wonder most Korean are so tall and big.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/affiliate.klook.com\/jump\/activity\/3142-nami-island-roundtrip-transfer-seoul\/?adid=11883&amp;af_wid=1904\"><strong>Nami Island<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We arrived at the Incheon Airport early in the morning before 8am. \u00a0We had our breakfast, Korean porridge at the airport and then headed to Nami Island. \u00a0I slept through the whole trip in the bus because I did not have a good night sleep in the plane last night.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1971\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_113048-576x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"576\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/affiliate.klook.com\/jump\/activity\/3142-nami-island-roundtrip-transfer-seoul\/?adid=11883&amp;af_wid=1904\">Nami Island<\/a> is a half moon shape island, and also the grave of a famous General called Nami in the Joseon Dynasty, King Sejo. \u00a0It is about 1 hour drive from Incheon Airport, 102km. Nami Island is one of the popular tourist destination in Korea. \u00a0The\u00a0ferry only took 5 mins time to bring us to this beautiful island<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_113201e.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1972\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_113201e-534x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"534\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We were here in the early winter so there were some fake snowmen decorated at the entrance but there were no real snow. \u00a0We reached the island at around 10am and it was already flooded with tourist from Asia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Metasequoia path in <a href=\"https:\/\/affiliate.klook.com\/jump\/activity\/3142-nami-island-roundtrip-transfer-seoul\/?adid=11883&amp;af_wid=1904\">Nami Island<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_104417e.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1956\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_104417e-459x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"459\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>One of the famous spot in Nami Island is the Metasequoia path, which was one of the main filming location for Winter Sonata drama hit in 2002,<br \/>\nstarring Bae Yong-joon, the Mr Spectacle guy and Choi Ji-woo. \u00a0As a result, it attracted millions of visitors, especially from south east Asia to visit this spot\u00a0and to experience the romantic moment along this path.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_104117.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1954\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_104117-576x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"576\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The weather was freezing cold even though there was no snow. \u00a0 We had some coffee and tea in the island to warm up our body. \u00a0The price of the coffee and tea were about the same as the price in Starbucks Coffee.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_103955.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1953\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_103955-576x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"576\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Because the main\u00a0Metasequoia path was so crowded with tourists, I took some pictures at the other small path which has less tourists. \u00a0The main Metasequoia definitely look more beautiful and it would be better if there were thick snow.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_104754.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1957\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_104754-576x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"576\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Every single spot produces scenic and awesome pictures!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_105126e.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1959\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_105126e-1024x494.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"282\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Many stalls were opened for snacks and souvenirs. \u00a0We bought a hot corn but not tasted good at all.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_105406e.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1960\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_105406e-1024x501.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"286\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There were also museum, handicraft studio, Glass Workshop around in the island. \u00a0If more time were given, I don&#8217;t mind to explore the handicraft studio and museum.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_105913.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1962\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_105913-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"329\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/affiliate.klook.com\/jump\/activity\/3142-nami-island-roundtrip-transfer-seoul\/?adid=11883&amp;af_wid=1904\">Nami Island<\/a> is a great place to escape and it would be better if we were staying overnight in this island, then we could explore the train ride and lake view more. \u00a0I heard this island is a ghost town in the evening when all tourists left. \u00a0A perfect time to have some peace and quiet time!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_110318.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1963\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_110318-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"329\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The colours of Nami Island during early winter\/late autumn was quite awesome, the color was pretty much like my jacket, brown!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Naminara Republic<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_110423e.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1964\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_110423e-747x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"801\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In December 2010 Naminara Republic, <a href=\"https:\/\/affiliate.klook.com\/jump\/activity\/3142-nami-island-roundtrip-transfer-seoul\/?adid=11883&amp;af_wid=1904\">Nami Island<\/a> was designated a UNICEF Child Friendly Park. \u00a0This was a first for Korea and only the 14th park in the world to receive such a designation. \u00a0Nami island is a micronation &#8211; independent nation but not recognized by world governments and there is a &#8220;visa&#8221; and has its own passport, currency and stamps.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_110618e.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1965\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_110618e-1024x526.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A very special features I noticed in Nami Island is there is no telephone poles and all the electric wire were built underground to keep the landscape in a natural feeling.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_111035.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1966\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_111035-576x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"576\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Our tour guide only given us 1 hour to explore this place so we could not \u00a0rent a bicycle. \u00a0Now thinking back, it was not wise to rent a bicycle also because most of the main spots were quite crowded with tourist. Furthermore renting a electronic bicycle doesn&#8217;t cost cheap also, 10,000 won for just 30 mins!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_111159e.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1967\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_111159e-609x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"982\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I think there should be some light up at nights with these beautiful light bulbs hanging on top of the tress.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_111301.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1968\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_111301-576x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"576\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This place is also filled with many small animals such as squirrels, birds, fishes and I found few\u00a0ostriches in this little ostriches farm. \u00a0When I looked closely, the ostrich&#8217;s head and bill are quite small for it&#8217;s huge size. Cute if you look closer!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_111452e.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1969\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_111452e-1024x632.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"360\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Korean Pan-fried Chicken for Lunch<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We left <a href=\"https:\/\/affiliate.klook.com\/jump\/activity\/3142-nami-island-roundtrip-transfer-seoul\/?adid=11883&amp;af_wid=1904\">Nami Island<\/a> at around noon time and headed for Korean Pan-fried Chicken for lunch. \u00a0It was pan-fried with chicken and lots of cabbage on the bottom. \u00a0The chicken was marinated with some chili paste. \u00a0It was nice to eat hot pan-fried chicken in the cold weather.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_124515.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1974\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_124515-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"329\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Daepohang Port Fish Market<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After our lunch we moved to\u00a0Daepohang Port Fish Market. \u00a0It was freezing cold when we arrived at the Daepohang Port, probably due the the water behind me.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1978\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_155424e-736x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"813\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once I walked towards the fish markets, there is a narrow roads hanging all the dried seafood for sales.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_155517e.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1979\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_155517e-1024x536.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"306\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It was about 3 pm in the afternoon when we arrived at\u00a0Daepohang Port. \u00a0I did not see many locals at this timing probably because\u00a0locals normally do their wet market shopping early in the morning. \u00a0However\u00a0I saw many tourists \u00a0tasting the fresh seafood.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_155228e.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1977\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_155228e-1024x471.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"269\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Plenty of fresh fishes put on the floor for sales.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_155215e.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1976\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_155215e-1024x549.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"313\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The port is filled with raw fish restaurants and a live fish market containing all type of fishes, clams, mussels, crabs, eels, squids and many others kind of fishes which I don&#8217;t know their name.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_155145.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1975\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_155145-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"329\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Some of our tour members were having the sashimi\/raw squids and crabs in the restaurants.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_163134.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1982\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_163134-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"329\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We stopped at one of the food stall in the market, not really a restaurant but they did provide us seats and we ordered\u00a0some seafood and asked them to barbecue for us. \u00a0We were given a giant mussel, 3 big clams, 3 big oysters, few shishamo\/(willow leaf fish- small fish with lots of eggs in the stomach) and many small pippies\/&#8221;lala&#8221;. \u00a0The seafood we ordered\u00a0tasted very delicious after the barbecue mainly because it was so fresh and the price was very reasonable too. \u00a0If I remembered correctly, it was only 35,000 won. \u00a0I like how the giant mussel was being cooked with cheese and their local chili paste. \u00a0It tasted awesome.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Giant Clam BBQ with Cheese<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_160917e.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1981\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161205_160917e-1024x700.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"399\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Delpino Golf &amp; Resort (Sorak Daemyung Resort)\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We were staying in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.agoda.com\/partners\/partnersearch.aspx?cid=1769828&amp;pcs=1&amp;hid=408508\">Delpino Golf &amp; Resort<\/a><\/strong> (Sorak Daemyung Resort)\u00a0for 2 nights.\u00a0One thing I love about Korean hotel was the wooden floor was warm in the hotel room and so we could not feel that cold even though it was winter.<\/p>\n<p>We were gathered at around 6 pm and headed for our dinner outside the hotel. \u00a0The menu was the Saba Barbecue fish. \u00a0I could not finish the whole Saba fish because we had some seafood barbecue at Daepohang Port Fish marke earlier.
