And Taipa \u6c39\u4ed4 is very near to Cotai Strip \u6c39\u4ed4 which look similar to the Strip in Las Vegas with major hotels and casinos.<\/p>\n<p>There are several ways to enter Macau:<br \/>\n1. By flight and use Macau International Airport<br \/>\n2. By ferry from Hong Kong using Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal (Macau Peninsula or Taipa Temporary Ferry Terminal at Taipa)<br \/>\n3. By bus crossing Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge<\/p>\n<h3>Arrival Hall Review<\/h3>\n<p>We choose to land in Macau Airport from Singapore then take a ferry to Hong Kong and depart from Hong Kong International Airport, so my review is only on the arrival part of Macau International Airport. As usual, once the plane landed, you need to go through the custom and baggage claim and finally security check. Then you will proceed to get your bus or taxi to your destination.\u00a0 The line was not long and it was pretty fast to clear and check out from the airport.<\/p>\n<p>The airport is not that big, it only has several duty-free shopping. It is quite clean including the toilets, both squat and seat toilets are available.<\/p>\n<p>Do not expect the immigration officer has a smiling face, most do not smile. This applies to all immigration officers worldwide.\u00a0 I even heard an immigration officer scolding an old lady tourist from mainland China, which she did not even do anything wrong as she was just standing outside the toilet waiting for her daughter.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-25493 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/20190321_095224.jpg\" alt=\"Macau International Airport Review\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/20190321_095224.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/20190321_095224-585x439.jpg 585w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Prepaid International Sim Card<\/h3>\n<p>Once you come out from the arrival hall, there is a row of counters selling for the prepaid international sim card for mobile phones.<\/p>\n<p>There are 4 network operators in Macau: CTM, Three (3), SmarTone and China Mobile (CDMA-only)<\/p>\n<p>SIM cards can be purchased without registration. On the airport, there are even vending machines for prepaid SIM Cards.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-25494 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/20190321_095246.jpg\" alt=\"Macau International Airport Review\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/20190321_095246.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/20190321_095246-585x439.jpg 585w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Travel by Free Shuttle Bus to explore Macau!<\/h3>\n<p>There are free shuttle services to major big hotels so do not bother to take a taxi at all. I know there are free shuttle buses to<a href=\"\/wordpress\/2019\/04\/grand-lisboa-macau\/\"> Grand Lisboa<\/a> &amp; <a href=\"\/wordpress\/2019\/04\/top-12-things-to-know-about-the-venetian-macau-the-biggest-casino-resort-in-the-world\/\">Venetian<\/a> and many more.\u00a0 Each Casino has its own branded buses \u2013 which will shuttle between airport, ferry terminals, border gates, and other casinos.\u00a0 They are a great way to get about but only take you between Casinos, and only on their schedules.\u00a0 Don&#8217;t worry, it is about 10-15 mins wait.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to explore the historical side of Macau, you can take the Grand Lisboa free shuttle bus and walk over to the ruins of St Paul and Senado Square, it is only 10-15 mins walk from Grand Lisboa Casino Hotel.\u00a0 If you want to visit Cotai Strip, (just like the Strip in Vegas), then take the Venetian free shuttle bus.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-25495 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/20190321_095319.jpg\" alt=\"Macau International Airport Review\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/20190321_095319.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/20190321_095319-585x439.jpg 585w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Departure Hall<\/h3>\n<p>The departure hall is located at one level down of the arrival hall.\u00a0 Not very big either but there are enough seats for travelers.
