The price is also not cheap as compared to other Asian countries. There isn&#8217;t enough land for the people in Hong Kong I guess, the island is surrounded by mountains and very little developable land. Can you believe that Hong Kong was also ranked the most expensive housing market in the world!<\/p>\n<p>In order to find a decent hotel which is convenient and spacious is not easy unless you are willing to pay more. Luckily we managed to book at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.agoda.com\/partners\/partnersearch.aspx?pcs=1&amp;cid=1769828&amp;hid=48641\">West Hotel in Jordan,<\/a> Hong Kong.\u00a0 Jordan is located in the central part of Yau Tsim Mong District and nearby you can find Temple Street Market and plenty of eateries and easy access to MTR station.<\/p>\n<p>Check out the West Hotel Review here!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-26139\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/20190322_123113.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1365\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Great Location<\/h3>\n<p>The location is at Jordon District and the famous Temple Street Market is within walking distance. It is also very accessible to Austin station, only 5 mins walk and also very near to the ferry terminal in Kowloon if you need to travel to Macau or China, by taxi only 5-10 mins. It is also very near to the high-speed rail station. To airport, it is 35 mins by taxi.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-26133\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/20190322_120446.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Front Desk<\/h3>\n<p>The front desk girl is very efficient, she has checked us in less than 5 mins. But please do not expect smiles from her.\u00a0 I think Hong Kong people usually do not smile. Smile or not, it did not matter much because we got to check in before 12 pm.\u00a0 As you know the usual check-in time for the hotel is after 2 or 3 pm.\u00a0 We were lucky to get the early check-in.\u00a0 We were tired as we just traveled by ferry from Macau.<\/p>\n<h3>Triple Room Review<\/h3>\n<p>We book a triple room and to our surprise, it is very spacious according to Hong Kong standard. This is not our first time to visit Hong Kong so we know how small hotel room can be in Hong Kong. The room is very clean and neat which we were so delighted when we check in the room.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-26134\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/20190322_121140.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There is a sofa and table and window to look out.\u00a0 Not that the view is very great but in case there is fire, you can always escape from the window.\u00a0 We stay on the 5th floor so it is still not too high to jump down.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-26137\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/20190322_121210.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>At the entrance, there is plenty of space for guests to put their stuff, even if you have a big luggage, you don&#8217;t have to worry there is no space to hide. If you ever stay in Hong Kong hotel, you know what I am talking about,\u00a0 some hotels in Hong Kong don&#8217;t even have space for your luggage and you need to hide it under your bed. There is another window at the entrance too.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-26136\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/20190322_121201.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Bathroom Review<\/h3>\n<p>The shower is separated with a glass door which is quite neat. I know it is small but this is Hong Kong so I won&#8217;t complain too much as long as I am able to move my body when I am showering. complimentary toiletries are provided.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-26135\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/20190322_121146.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There are lift to bring you up and we stay at 5th floor.\u00a0 There is a triple room on each floor.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-26138\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/20190322_122914.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>The downside of the hotel<\/h3>\n<p>I don&#8217;t have any complaint about this hotel if you have to ask me then I can only think of there is no breakfast and no place for breakfast inside the hotel.\u00a0 This is not an issue at all because there are plenty of eateries downstairs and you got to choose what you want to eat and they open from 6 am, yes that early.\u00a0 Hong Kong people are very hard working, the restaurants start as early as 6 am and closes at midnight.<\/p>\n<h3>Nearby Amenities<\/h3>\n<p>It is only 5 mins walk to Austin MTR Station and 10 mins walk to Jordon MTR station. Two blocks away from Temple Street market.\u00a0 There are plenty of eateries once you went down to the hotel. There are Hong Kong style Cha Chaan Teng, Yam cha or Dimsun restaurants, noodles shops and many more, you named it.<\/p>\n<h3><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-26140\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/20190322_131429.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/>Final thoughts:<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.agoda.com\/partners\/partnersearch.aspx?pcs=1&amp;cid=1769828&amp;hid=48641\">West Hotel Jordan in Hong Kong<\/a> is value for money, the room is very spacious for Hong Kong Standard (very important)!\u00a0 The location is very good as it is only 5 mins to Austin MTR and only 2 blocks away from Temple Street Market.\u00a0 Downstairs there are plenty of yummy eateries which start as early as 6 am and closes at midnight.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-26141\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/20190322_150857.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"911\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hong Kong hotels are usually a lot smaller compared to other hotels that I have visited in the world.
