During our visit to Seville<\/a>, we stayed in Silken Al-Andalus Palace<\/a>, a 4-star hotel, elegant, grand and suitable for couples, families or big groups of friends. The hotel is conveniently located in Heliopolis district, just 10 mins drive from the Seville’s historic center.\u00a0 Al Andalus Palace is one of the best hotels for my Spain tour.<\/p>\n

The hotel is huge and the interior is really chic and stylish upon entering the main lobby. You will notice lots of red decorated in this hotel, very spacious, neat and clean. Some Spanish arts, (bullfighter costume) was displayed at the front lobby which makes the ambient very Spanish.<\/p>\n

The room is equipped with minibar, air conditioning, wireless internet access, satellite TV, safety deposit box and a bathroom.<\/p>\n

Surprised to find out there is a double basin in the bathroom.<\/p>\n

The bathroom wall is covered in marbles which make the bathroom looking a little cold but it certainly gives a classical feel.<\/p>\n

Bidet<\/h3>\n

Bidet seems to be very common in hotels in Spain.<\/p>\n

The bidet was born in France in the 1600s as a washing basin for private parts. Bidet is bathtub-like fixture situated next to the toilet. It is the second steps after you have used the toilet. If you have used the high-tech toilet in Japan<\/a>, you will find bidet is so extra and it is so much trouble as it takes an extra step to hop to bidet wash.<\/p>\n

Dinner has a wide variety of selection from tapas, pescadito frito, calamari, croquetas, sweets, quesos, jamon, you named it they served it. One of the best selection of Spanish and international cuisine among all the hotels that I stayed in Spain.<\/p>\n

Jam\u00f3n & Cheese Corner<\/h3>\n

Jam\u00f3n is the national food for Spain, it is ham in English. Two things I learn about Jam\u00f3n, the Jam\u00f3n Iberico and Jam\u00f3n Serrano.<\/p>\n

The small packets look like fruits jams but these are not. It is a paste consisting of a forcemeat that at least contains liver. Other common additions include ground meat from pork, poultry, fish or beef, fat, vegetables, herbs, spice, and wine or brandy.<\/p>\n

Final thoughts:<\/h3>\n

Hotel Silken Al Andalus Palace<\/a> offers a good price and great for travelers in groups as the hotel is very spacious. It also caters for conference groups activities. Even if the hotel is not located in the heart of the city center of Seville, I still highly recommend this hotel because of the good ambient and huge selection of choices for their dinner and breakfast. I have to mention the food was very good.<\/p>\n

Taxi is always outside the hotel so getting around is not an issue, and it does not cost too much if you are going to Seville Cathedral<\/a> or Santa Cruz Neighborhood<\/a>.<\/p>\n
