Other reasons are Australia is safe and nearer to Asia as compared to America and other European countries. The international students injected a big sum of money into Australia&#8217;s economy each year, directly boosting Australian jobs and wages.<\/p>\n<p>During my stay in Sydney, I re-visited two Universities, <a href=\"\/wordpress\/2019\/08\/university-of-sydney-the-oldest-university-in-australia\/\">Sydney University<\/a>, and UNSW Sydney.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-28430 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/IMG_20190606_123339.jpg\" alt=\"UNSW (University of New South Wales) Campus Touring, Sydney Australia\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The University of New South Wales also known as UNSW Sydney is one of the top universities in Australia, located in Kensington suburb.\u00a0 We used to stay in Kensington suburb when my family first moved to Sydney so I am quite familiar with the neighborhood here, it has the best Indonesian restaurants.<\/p>\n<p>The university was built in 1949, quite new compare to Sydney University. Hence you don&#8217;t get to see old architectures like <a href=\"\/wordpress\/2017\/08\/self-drive-in-uk-oxford-university-walking-tour\/\">Oxford<\/a> and <a href=\"\/wordpress\/2017\/07\/self-drive-in-uk-cambridge\/\">Cambridge<\/a> in England.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-28421 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/IMG_20190606_122100.jpg\" alt=\"UNSW (University of New South Wales) Campus Touring, Sydney Australia\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now, let&#8217;s have a tour in UNSW Sydney.<\/p>\n<h3>Library Lawn<\/h3>\n<p>The Library Lawn is one of the most reputable landmarks at UNSW, also a great place to chill for students, especially during winter when the sunshine is warm.\u00a0 The lawn is located in front of the University library and you can spot several sculptures of different famous figures.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-28429 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/IMG_20190606_123155.jpg\" alt=\"UNSW (University of New South Wales) Campus Touring, Sydney Australia\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>University Library<\/h3>\n<p>When I was in Year 12, I came to the University Library of UNSW during the weekends to study for my entrance exam for University. Glad it was open to the public and there are a number of floors to choose from.\u00a0 You are also allowed to eat and drink some cold food, such as sandwiches, apple or banana.\u00a0 However, make sure there is no trash.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-28434 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/IMG_20190606_123631.jpg\" alt=\"UNSW (University of New South Wales) Campus Touring, Sydney Australia\" width=\"1024\" height=\"790\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You will notice the number of international students here is large, most from Asia. Annual graduation ceremonies are even held in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur.\u00a0 My second eldest brother did his double degree in UNSW Sydney and he had his graduation in Kuala Lumpur.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-28437 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/IMG_20190606_124120.jpg\" alt=\"UNSW (University of New South Wales) Campus Touring, Sydney Australia\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>USYD (University of Sydney) vs UNSW (University of NSW)<\/h3>\n<p>Both USYD and UNSW are two of the highest-ranked universities in Australia, base on the aesthetic reason, I would prefer to study in <a href=\"\/wordpress\/2019\/08\/university-of-sydney-the-oldest-university-in-australia\/\">University of Sydney<\/a> as it has the old architectures, (the Harry Potter&#8217;s vibe). However, don&#8217;t get influence by the aesthetic reason, choose your course base on Degrees offered, ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admission Rank) cut-off and how you personally like the vibes there.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-28439 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/IMG_20190606_124459.jpg\" alt=\"UNSW (University of New South Wales) Campus Touring, Sydney Australia\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-28442 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/IMG_20190606_124947.jpg\" alt=\"UNSW (University of New South Wales) Campus Touring, Sydney Australia\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>UNSW Eateries<\/h3>\n<p>I went to have a look at the eateries in UNSW and was surprised to find out there are lots of different cuisines around the world, including few stalls for Asian.\u00a0 I spotted <a href=\"\/wordpress\/2017\/08\/top-food-to-explore-in-singapore-laksa\/\">Laksa<\/a>, Japanese sushi, gyoza, kebab and many more.<\/p>\n<p>So, Asian student, you don&#8217;t have to worry about not getting any Asian taste now.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-28441 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/IMG_20190606_124820.jpg\" alt=\"UNSW (University of New South Wales) Campus Touring, Sydney Australia\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/>It was slightly before lunch hour, I had a light snack &#8211; the Japanese takoyaki, (AUD 3.00) because I planned to have my lunch at <a href=\"\/wordpress\/2019\/08\/\u975e\u8bda\u52ff\u6270-\u5b5f\u975e\u7684\u5c0f\u9762-mr-mengs-noodle-sydney-haymarket-australia\/\">Mr Meng&#8217;s noodles shop \u5b5f\u975e\u5c0f\u9762<\/a> in Market City, <a href=\"\/wordpress\/2019\/08\/a-visit-to-the-largest-chinatown-in-australia-sydney-chinatown\/\">Chinatown<\/a> later.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-28443 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/IMG_20190606_125018.jpg\" alt=\"UNSW (University of New South Wales) Campus Touring, Sydney Australia\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1365\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Getting around<\/h3>\n<p>The Kensington Campus is only about half an hour from the CBD and Central Station. Public transport service such as buses and trams sit just right outside the University.\u00a0 Parking on the UNSW campus and surrounding area is restricted and very limited. We parked our car in the Randwick Shopping Mall and walk for about 15 mins to reach UNSW.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-28420 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/IMG_20190606_121523.jpg\" alt=\"UNSW (University of New South Wales) Campus Touring, Sydney Australia\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Final thoughts:<\/h3>\n<p>I love visiting Universities when I travel as it provides you with a perspective on what kind of environment it is. If you have children who are going to higher education, do also include few universities tour in your itinerary as it gets to help your children to get a firsthand view of a college. &#8220;A picture is worth a thousand words&#8221; &#8211; \u884c\u4e07\u91cc\u8def\u4e0d\u5982\u8bfb\u4e07\u5377\u4e66 Nothing beats walking around a campus to get a good feel for it.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-28432 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/IMG_20190606_123552.jpg\" alt=\"UNSW (University of New South Wales) Campus Touring, Sydney Australia\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Many parents in Singapore and Malaysia prefer sending their children to Australia to further their studies because Australia is one of the worlds leading education.
