During my visit to Canberra-Australia, it was raining in the morning so we went to check out the National Museum of Australia. We were super excited to find out there is a special exhibit for Monet Impression Sunrise which starts from 7 Jun to 1 Sept 2019.\u00a0 No wonder there were crowds soon after the museum opened.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-29602 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/IMG_20190610_105948.jpg\" alt=\"National Museum Australia - Collection of Monet's Masterpieces\" width=\"1024\" height=\"677\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The museum is free but to visit Monet&#8217;s exhibit, there is a fee to pay.\u00a0 The line is not short too.\u00a0 We queue for 30 minutes to get in.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-29581 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/20190610_114327.jpg\" alt=\"National Museum Australia - Collection of Monet's Masterpieces\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Impression, Sunrise<\/h3>\n<p>Monet painted Impression, Sunrise in Le Harve, a major port in northern France also his hometown. It was painted from a hotel window at Le Havre in 1872. This piece of art usually don&#8217;t travel and when it does, it normally travel for one month. So we were lucky to be able to look at this painting.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-29577 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/20190610_113951.jpg\" alt=\"National Museum Australia - Collection of Monet's Masterpieces\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Monet was good at capturing light and natural forms, the painting was smooth and nice blend of colors.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-29613 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/IMG_20190610_114245.jpg\" alt=\"National Museum Australia - Collection of Monet's Masterpieces\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A trained guide help to explain Monet&#8217;s work to the group.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-29586 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/20190610_114632.jpg\" alt=\"National Museum Australia - Collection of Monet's Masterpieces\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Haystacks Series<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-29585 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/20190610_114548.jpg\" alt=\"National Museum Australia - Collection of Monet's Masterpieces\" width=\"1024\" height=\"788\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Water Lilies Series<\/h3>\n<p>This is the largest of Monet&#8217;s series depicting his flower garden at Giverny. Besides Monet&#8217;s collections, we were also able to see the wide range of permanent collection from indigenous arts to Asian, Australian and the American arts.
