Valencia is the third-largest city in Spain and if you are visiting Valencia, you may want to stay in Eurostars Rey Don Jaime<\/a>. It has a nice location and close to many attractions in Valencia such as the City of Arts and Sciences<\/a> and the Valencia historical center. Only 2km away from Valencia city center.<\/p>\n

It is a 4 stars hotel and the total number of guestrooms is 319 and all are smoke-free. Let’s find out more about my Eurostars Rey Don Jaime hotel review here.<\/p>\n

Hotel Lobby & Front Desk<\/h3>\n

It is very pleasant once you passing through the lobby, several corners with comfortable sofas for tired guests to rest while waiting to be check-in the rooms.\u00a0 The lightings used in the lobby are very stylish and quite bright which is what I like.<\/p>\n

Amenities<\/h3>\n

The hotel boasts an outdoor swimming pool and a rooftop terrace.\u00a0 Remember to check it out.<\/p>\n

Going up to our room, there are black and white photo frames decorated on the corridor.\u00a0 You will notice the hotel incorporated a lot of black into its decoration.\u00a0 The room number plate is black too.<\/p>\n

The room is very cozy and clean.\u00a0 The bed is clean and comfortable.<\/p>\n

Free wifi access, satellite programming is available at the flat tv.\u00a0 A working desk, safe, fridge are also available.<\/p>\n

Bathroom Review<\/h3>\n

The bathroom has basically everything you need, the bathtub and the shower are together and being separated by a glass door but not fully covered.<\/p>\n

The most important in the bathroom for me is the hairdryer and it is hanging neatly on the wall.\u00a0 Yes, it is working with medium power.\u00a0 Toiletries are available, such as soap, lotion, and shampoo.<\/p>\n

Bidet<\/h3>\n

Again, a bidet is found next to the toilet bowl.\u00a0 Usually, there is always a bidet next to the toilet bowl in Spain and Portugal hotels.\u00a0 At least 90% of the hotels that I stayed during my Spain and Portugal trip have a bidet and by now I don’t find it special anymore.\u00a0 In fact, I am used to seeing one bidet next to the toilet bowl in most of the hotel rooms.<\/p>\n

I still find a bidet is hard to use or maybe I am not used to straddling or sitting on the bidet. I find it awkward and not comfortable.<\/p>\n

Breakfast Review<\/h3>\n

The breakfast spread has good choices, more variety than the other hotels we stayed in Spain. The restaurant setting is very clean and neat, very comfortable the moment you walked in.\u00a0 Look carefully, you will see a lot of nice little details done, such as table settings and the little jams placed on the table. The cutlery sets are well polished and look like brand new. Cups on the tables are very clean without any lipstick or coffee\/tea stain.<\/p>\n

There is a special kids’ corner with kid’s favorite food and snacks.<\/p>\n

Zucchini, brinjal and pepper<\/p>\n

Spanish omelette or Spanish tortilla<\/h3>\n

In Spanish, it is called tortilla de patatas or tortilla de papas. Omelette made with eggs and potatoes, sometimes also with onion.\u00a0 I have seen this dish many times during my visit to Spain, seems like a well-liked dish over here.<\/p>\n

Jamon<\/h3>\n

Jamon is the Spanish word for ham. These dry-cured ham can be seen in almost every breakfast spread in the hotel throughout our stay in Spain. I know there are two types of Jamon, the Jamon Iberico and Jamon serrano. One is more expensive than the other one.<\/p>\n

Fruits Corner<\/h3>\n

What I love about the fruits provided in the breakfast here are these are all freshly cut and not from the cans or tins. You have melon, watermelon, orange, kiwi, apples, banana, and pineapple.\u00a0 How cool is that?\u00a0 As I said, Eurostars Rey Don Jaime certainly have their standards and not just one or two kind of fruits but quite a huge range to choose from.<\/p>\n

Cheese & Ham Corner<\/h3>\n

Another good choice here, a lot of different kinds of cheese and ham.<\/p>\n

Virgin Olive Oil<\/h3>\n

I find virgin olive oil in almost every meal, it is like our local “soya sauce” where you can spot them in all the tables.<\/p>\n

Dairy Products & Jams<\/h3>\n

Danone is founded in Barcelona, Spain but now based in Paris. Their key business lines are dairy products.<\/p>\n

Pastries<\/h3>\n

The variety of the pastries is incredible and for someone who loves sweets, they should be very happy to see these in the breakfast spread.<\/p>\n

You will notice that I do not like pastries, especially for breakfast but I do love the bread with butter or jam.<\/p>\n
