Australia Great Ocean Road<\/a> is one of the scenic drives in the world. It is long and travels 243km starts at Torquay and ends at Warnambool. During our visit to Great Ocean Road, we choose to stay in Apollo Bay as it a small quiet town where the hill meets the sea.<\/p>\n

\"WhereHow far is Apollo Bay to the Twelve Apostles<\/a>?<\/h3>\n

As you know there are many attractions along Great Ocean Road Australia and one of the highlights is the Twelve Apostles. How far is Apollo Bay to the Twelve Apostles? It takes about 1.5 hours. So after your visit to the Twelve Apostles, you can drive to Apollo Bay to rest.\u00a0 It is best to arrive at your hotel before sunset.<\/p>\n

Who should do Great Ocean Road?<\/h3>\n

Great Ocean Road is for nature lovers, from rainforest and rivers to rugged coastlines, it boosts nature at its most diverse.<\/p>\n

\"Where\"Where<\/p>\n

Is the Great Ocean Road easy to drive?<\/h3>\n

The road of Great Ocean Road is two-lane (one in each direction). The speed limit ranges from 50km\/h to 100km\/h. Don’t worry, you will see the speed limit sign along the road. Just drive according to the speed limit. The road can get a little winding and there are some sharp turns too so please be extra careful.\u00a0 Sharp turns and winding portion usually has a speed limit showing 50km\/h.\u00a0 If you stay in the speed limit zone, you should be okay.\u00a0 Please note that there are also many signs telling drivers to “Drive on Left in Australia”.\u00a0 American, European and China drivers drive on the opposite side of Australia.\u00a0 There are a lot of accidents happen due to driving in the wrong lane.<\/p>\n

\"Where<\/p>\n

Apollo Bay<\/h3>\n

Apollo Bay is midway along the Great Ocean Road and it is a perfect spot to rest. Valleys just a few kilometers out of town are full of rainforest, streams, waterfalls, and fireflies. Every water sport under the sun can be enjoyed at Apollo Bay – surfing, fishing, swimming, diving, and boating of all sorts. We went to Marriners Lookout’s point<\/a> which overseeing the whole town of Apollo Bay from the top, just a few mins drive from our hotel in Apollo Bay.<\/p>\n

Comfort Inn The International @ Apollo Bay Review<\/h3>\n

We have stayed in other Comfort Inn before, the recent one that we experience was at Comfort Inn in Monterey By The Sea in California USA<\/a>. So we roughly know what to expect in the Comfort Inn in Apollo Bay, Australia.<\/p>\n

The Comfort Inn The International at Apollo Bay,<\/a> I would rather call it a motel style. It is located opposite of the seaside. The are many restaurants & pubs within walking distance. There is also a small supermarket in case you need to get something.<\/p>\n

\"Where<\/p>\n

Hotel Parking<\/h3>\n

The parking is free and just right outside the room which is very convenient for us to load and unload our luggage.\u00a0 Glad that we did not get the room on the second floor as our luggage is are huge.<\/p>\n

\"Where<\/p>\n

Room Review<\/h3>\n

We booked three pax sharing and it comes with a queen size and a single size bed.\u00a0 The room is quite spacious and the lighting is very good.\u00a0 Our room faces the main road but the noise is minimal as there are not many cars passing by.<\/p>\n

A flat-screen TV, table, fashionable chairs and adjustable air-conditional.<\/p>\n

\"Where<\/p>\n

Mini Pantry<\/h3>\n

At the entrance of the room, there is a mini pantry area where you can have your take away meals or some instant noodles.\u00a0 There are two high chairs and a table for you to sit to have your coffee, tea, and meals.<\/p>\n

\"Where<\/p>\n

A mini-fridge, microwave oven, kettle, clean cups, plates, bowls, and cutleries are also available.<\/p>\n

\"Where<\/p>\n

Toilet Review<\/h3>\n

The toilet is spacious and the hot water system is running well, that is the most important.<\/p>\n

\"Where<\/p>\n

Surrounding<\/h3>\n

If you are like me who need Asian food, then Apollo Bay won’t fail you.\u00a0 There are a number of Asian restaurants, few Chinese and a Japanese restaurant.\u00a0 Fish & Chips, Pizza and some western fried seafood are also available.\u00a0 All within the walking distance of the Comfort Inn.<\/p>\n

\"Where<\/p>\n

George’s – The Western<\/h3>\n

George’s serves western fried fish & chips, calamari, and other seafood.\u00a0 It also has pizzas!<\/p>\n

\"Where<\/p>\n

Oishii – The Japanese<\/h3>\n

After one round of researching which restaurant to dine in, we decided to have our dinner at Oishii which serves Japanese & Korean.<\/p>\n

We have ramen but the restaurant also serves udon noodles.<\/p>\n

\"Where<\/p>\n

Bento set which comes with chicken & unagi fish & seaweed & rice.<\/p>\n

Seafood Hotpot with rice<\/h3>\n

Final thoughts:<\/h3>\n

You certainly need a few days to do the Great Ocean Road and Apollo Bay is one of the best locations to rest.\u00a0 Comfort Inn The International<\/a> has a great location in the Apollo Bay.<\/p>\n
