This is the popular winter-escape destination for the northern Europeans. I bumped into many of the northern European during my visit to Hurghada Red Sea.\u00a0 I was here in December month and during the day the weather is quite warm.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"1170\" height=\"659\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/7s05EzOdfKo?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;start=10&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Red Sea got its name because of a type of specific algae found in the sea, which upon dying often appear to turn-green color of the ocean to a reddish-brown.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-32213 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/IMG_20191223_093229-1.jpg\" alt=\"Hurghada Red Sea - the Resort Paradise in Egypt\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Where is Hurghada Red Sea?<\/h3>\n<p>Hurghada is about 6 hours bus journey from Cairo Egypt. Over here you find many beach resorts stretching 40km along with Egypt&#8217;s Red Sea coast which was built-in 1980s. Before that, Hurghada is just a humble fishing village.<\/p>\n<p>Hurghada is known for its watersports activities, nightlife, and warm weather.\u00a0 You can wear bikini here in Hurghada.\u00a0 Rusian and Northern European love to visit Hurghada Red Sea to escape their cold winter and enjoy the warm weather here.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-32265 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/IMG_20191223_114038.jpg\" alt=\"Hurghada Red Sea - the Resort Paradise in Egypt\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Continental Hotel Hurghada Review<\/h3>\n<p>We stayed in the Continental Hotel Hurghada which is located on the west coast of the Red Sea. The resort lies along a beautiful private beach and a marina with big boats and yachts.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-32312 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/IMG_20191223_170358.jpg\" alt=\"Hurghada Red Sea - the Resort Paradise in Egypt\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Hotel Lobby<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-32230 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/IMG_20191222_201320-1.jpg\" alt=\"Hurghada Red Sea - the Resort Paradise in Egypt\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The hotel resort is very big with well-kept gardens. We had 3 three rooms and two were given suites and one at the main building.\u00a0 I find the rooms in the main building are newer and cleaner.\u00a0 The main building is where the lobby is.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-32313 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/IMG_20191223_170449.jpg\" alt=\"Hurghada Red Sea - the Resort Paradise in Egypt\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Our Mansion Suites<\/h3>\n<p>There are three suites in the 2 storey mansion and we occupied two suites upstairs. One of the suites is located on the first floor and still under renovation. Since our suites are located on the second floor, we need to carry our big suitcases up and every time we come out for breakfast or activities, we need to walk the stairs up and down.\u00a0 Less mobile people or old folks may not find this mansion ideal.<\/p>\n<p>The good thing is we had our private pool in front of the mansion suite.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-32273 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/IMG_20191223_131217.jpg\" alt=\"Hurghada Red Sea - the Resort Paradise in Egypt\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s find out the suites inside the mansion.\u00a0 The suites are very large but rundown and not as new as the one in the main building that faces the Rea Sea and the main big pool.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-32190 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/IMG_20191222_163859.jpg\" alt=\"Hurghada Red Sea - the Resort Paradise in Egypt\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The lightings weren&#8217;t bright enough and the carpet has some stains and looks old and dirty.\u00a0 You need sandals for sure. The hotel room does not provide the free slippers.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-32192 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/IMG_20191222_163926.jpg\" alt=\"Hurghada Red Sea - the Resort Paradise in Egypt\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There are small shops in the resorts, in case you have forgotten your sunblocks, insects spray or sandals you can get them here.\u00a0 You can also buy souvenirs and Egyptian jewelry here.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-32198 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/IMG_20191222_201448.jpg\" alt=\"Hurghada Red Sea - the Resort Paradise in Egypt\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The pool gets slightly crowded during the day especially when the animation teams play the music and dance.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-32311 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/IMG_20191223_170146.jpg\" alt=\"Hurghada Red Sea - the Resort Paradise in Egypt\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Shisha water pipe cafe is also available!<\/h3>\n<p>Shisha smoking originates from the Middle East, you find the shisha smokers smoke tobacco through a bowl with a long hose joined on.\u00a0 Shisha water pipe is often seen in Egypt. When we passed by this shisha cafe, we smell clouds of honey-scented smoke.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-32201 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/IMG_20191223_073732-1.jpg\" alt=\"Hurghada Red Sea - the Resort Paradise in Egypt\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Sport &amp; Fitness Centre<\/h3>\n<p>There is a gym inside the sports center which is only 2 mins walk from the main lobby. I find the types of equipment are quite sufficient for gym lovers, not very big but good enough to train.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-32204 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/IMG_20191223_092506.jpg\" alt=\"Hurghada Red Sea - the Resort Paradise in Egypt\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There is a fee ( about USD 6 an hour) to use the pool table here, located in the fitness center.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-32205 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/IMG_20191223_092526.jpg\" alt=\"Hurghada Red Sea - the Resort Paradise in Egypt\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Snoopy club<\/h3>\n<p>Don&#8217;t forget to bring your little one to Snoopy clubs, ideal for toddlers.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-32211 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/IMG_20191223_092624.jpg\" alt=\"Hurghada Red Sea - the Resort Paradise in Egypt\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Food Review in Hurghada Continental Hotel<\/h3>\n<p>The breakfast and dinner are included in our booking of rooms but without lunch.\u00a0 We had our lunch in one of the restaurants in the resort.\u00a0 The chef barbeques the seafood in front of us so it served hot and fresh.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-32271 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/IMG_20191223_121417.jpg\" alt=\"Hurghada Red Sea - the Resort Paradise in Egypt\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It was a huge seafood platter that cost around USD 90.00 for 6 people.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-32272 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/IMG_20191223_122911.jpg\" alt=\"Hurghada Red Sea - the Resort Paradise in Egypt\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"HEADING\">Hurghada Promenade<\/h3>\n<p>Outside the resorts, there are shopping streets but things sold aren&#8217;t cheap.\u00a0 If you want shopping for souvenirs, it is better to do it in Cairo.\u00a0 There are few restaurants outside the hotel in the Promenade, we found a Japanese and a Thai restaurant.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-32309 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/IMG_20191223_165429.jpg\" alt=\"Hurghada Red Sea - the Resort Paradise in Egypt\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You can also do the camel ride outside the resort.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-32308 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/IMG_20191223_164925.jpg\" alt=\"Hurghada Red Sea - the Resort Paradise in Egypt\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Taxi or Private Hired Car in Hurghada?<\/h3>\n<p>In the afternoon we went to the old town El Dahar, about 30 mins drive from our resorts.\u00a0 You can either catch the taxi outside the resort or catch the private hired car from the hotel.\u00a0 Cathing a taxi cost way lesser than using the private hired car from the hotel.\u00a0 We were worried not able to find a taxi back from the old town so we went with the private hired car which includes sending us back to the hotel.\u00a0 Later we found out that there are so many taxies in the old towns so there is no need to use private hired cars from the hotel.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-32304 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/IMG_20191223_164217.jpg\" alt=\"Hurghada Red Sea - the Resort Paradise in Egypt\" width=\"1024\" height=\"848\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>El Dahar (Hurghada Old Town)<\/h3>\n<p>El Dahar is where the local shops and dining. I wanted to see how the locals live so coming to El Dahar is a good choice. The highlight of the old town is the &#8220;souk&#8221; or market. We spent an hour walking browsing the local product and spices.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-32274 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/IMG_20191223_145738.jpg\" alt=\"Hurghada Red Sea - the Resort Paradise in Egypt\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Al Dahar is old and rundown but it has its own character.\u00a0 The old town is where most of the Egyptians live and work. You see the fruits and vegetable market and local restaurants.
