But Movenpick has its charm too, it has a very good Aqua Park and two largest shopping malls nearby.\u00a0 The mall of Egypt, one of the largest shopping arcades in the Middle East is here.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"1170\" height=\"659\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Lt8VzVgeGDg?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-33933 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/IMG_20191220_173236.jpg\" alt=\"Egyptian Wedding in M\u00f6venpick Hotel Cairo Media City \" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The lobby is grand and during my visit, we saw the Egyptian wedding was held here.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-33935 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/IMG_20191220_173309.jpg\" alt=\"Egyptian Wedding in M\u00f6venpick Hotel Cairo Media City \" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Aqua Park or Pool Review<\/h3>\n<p>I have stayed in many resorts around the world and Movenpick has one of the best aqua parks that I have seen so far. The layout is very beautiful and there are a number of pools for both adults and children to play or swim. It was winter month during my visit, so we did not bother to go down to the pool.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-33943 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/IMG_20191221_063048.jpg\" alt=\"Egyptian Wedding in M\u00f6venpick Hotel Cairo Media City \" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you look from the top, it certainly has a nice layout.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-33944 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/IMG_20191221_063145.jpg\" alt=\"Egyptian Wedding in M\u00f6venpick Hotel Cairo Media City \" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Room Review<\/h3>\n<p>There are a number of rooms to choose from with a pool view or garden view or both with garden and pool view.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-33937 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/IMG_20191220_175318.jpg\" alt=\"Egyptian Wedding in M\u00f6venpick Hotel Cairo Media City \" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The room is very spacious but please bring along a pair of sandals as there are no sandals provided in the room.\u00a0 You will need it when you go to the pool or walk to the restaurant for breakfast or dinner.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-33939 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/IMG_20191220_175321.jpg\" alt=\"Egyptian Wedding in M\u00f6venpick Hotel Cairo Media City \" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Bathroom Review<\/h3>\n<p>It has all the toiletries in the bathroom.\u00a0 Both toilet and bidet can be seen located next to each other.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-33941 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/IMG_20191220_175334.jpg\" alt=\"Egyptian Wedding in M\u00f6venpick Hotel Cairo Media City \" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The shower cum bathtub is also available.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-33942 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/IMG_20191220_175340.jpg\" alt=\"Egyptian Wedding in M\u00f6venpick Hotel Cairo Media City \" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Breakfast Review<\/h3>\n<p>This is a big resort and the restaurant can sit up to a hundred visitors. The breakfast range is huge and it has both Western and Egyptian cuisine.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-33945 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/IMG_20191221_063251.jpg\" alt=\"Egyptian Wedding in M\u00f6venpick Hotel Cairo Media City \" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>My breakfast<\/h3>\n<p>I choose Aish Baladi also known as the Egyptian bread. It is the national breakfast in Egypt and it is traditionally made using whole wheat. It has a pocket in the middle of the bread where you can put things that you like inside and eat it the way you like. In the hotel, there is a &#8220;Zaffa&#8221; procession with drummers at the entrance to receive guests and the couple. Zaffa entrance is popular in Egyptian weddings and other middle eastern countries. We hear drums and various string instruments plus a dabke leader who begins the dance, then the rest of the dancers follow the leader, synchronizing with his every movement as they make their entrance. Zaffa performance is one of the most exciting parts of an Arabic wedding.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-33952 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/IMG_20191221_202813.jpg\" alt=\"Egyptian Wedding in M\u00f6venpick Hotel Cairo Media City \" width=\"1024\" height=\"699\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once the bride and groom make an entrance, Zaffa groups start off the wedding with traditional music and dance down the aisle. I can feel it is a very high energy entrance, a very good vibe.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-33953 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/IMG_20191221_203153.jpg\" alt=\"Egyptian Wedding in M\u00f6venpick Hotel Cairo Media City \" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Final thoughts:<\/h3>\n<p>Glad to be able to see how a traditional Egyptian wedding is like in Movenpick Hotel.\u00a0 The Zaffa entrance performance is really a special moment for the bride and the groom. You will see all the focus is on her when she enters the reception and the lobby.
