The airport is about 30 km from our Huachen International Hotel in Hangzhou city near West Lake. Our China high-speed train travel cover cities of Shanghai, Suzhou, Yiwu (Hengdian), and Hangzhou. We first arrived at Shanghai Airport and the catch the China High-Speed train to travel around these few cities then depart back home from Hangzhou Airport.<\/p>\n<p>I usually will blog about the airport that I have traveled to and review it.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-34931\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/20191123_214252.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The airport is pretty new and clean, opened only in the year 2000. It has three terminals 1,2 and 3. Terminal 1 and 3 are for domestic service, terminal 2 is home for all the international services.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-34932 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/IMG_20191123_095533.jpg\" alt=\"Hangzhou International Airport Review \u676d\u5dde\u8427\u5c71\u56fd\u9645\u673a\u573a\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We catch the airport express bus to Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport. We were lucky to book a hotel room at Huachen International Hotel which enables us to purchase an airport bus ticket just right next door to the hotel. The airport bus also picks up the passenger right in front of<a href=\"\/wordpress\/2020\/08\/where-to-stay-in-hangzhou-huachen-international-hotel-review\/\"> Huachen International Hotel<\/a>. It&#8217;s only cost about RMB 20 for an adult. If you are a foreigner, you cannot purchase a ticket from the ticketing machines but have to go to the counter to show your ID (passport). Local Chinese can just purchase the ticket from the ticketing machines with their Chinese ID and mobile payment (Wechat or Alipay).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-34933 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/IMG_20191123_095546.jpg\" alt=\"Hangzhou International Airport Review \u676d\u5dde\u8427\u5c71\u56fd\u9645\u673a\u573a\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It is a comfortable air-conditional big bus and the bus did not stop anywhere but go directly to the International and Domestic terminal of Hangzhou Airport.\u00a0 The bus will first arrive at the International Airport and then follow by the domestic airport.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-34934 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/IMG_20191123_095800.jpg\" alt=\"Hangzhou International Airport Review \u676d\u5dde\u8427\u5c71\u56fd\u9645\u673a\u573a\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Hangzhou Airport operates 86 domestic cities and for international flights, it covers up to 35 international cities including Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Bangkok.<\/p>\n<p>Similar to other airports, you have to arrive at least 2 hours before your departure.\u00a0 Go check-in at the counter then you can walk around the airport for food and souvenirs.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-34948 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/IMG_20191123_210110.jpg\" alt=\"Hangzhou International Airport Review \u676d\u5dde\u8427\u5c71\u56fd\u9645\u673a\u573a\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After we have done the check-in, we go find some food to eat.\u00a0 Several food courts are available at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, giving passengers several options such as restaurants, cafes, and fast-food outlets.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-34937 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/IMG_20191123_201358.jpg\" alt=\"Hangzhou International Airport Review \u676d\u5dde\u8427\u5c71\u56fd\u9645\u673a\u573a\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The are KFC and Mcdonals in the airport, so if you are missing some fast food, go check the Chinese version of KFC.\u00a0 Try their specialty, Lao Beijing Dragon twist.\u00a0 It is so yummy.\u00a0 We love it so much that we have to order again to bring up to the aircraft to eat.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone Tasted not too bad and it cost about RMB 40.00 (SGD 8.00)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-34938 size-full\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Duty-free shop<\/h3>\n<p>The duty-free shopping is huge here, you can choose the international brand of perfumes and cosmetics here.<\/p>\n<p><img first aid services, wheelchair services, ATMs and post office.<\/p>\n<h3>Final thoughts:<\/h3>\n<p>Hangzhou International Airport is clean and neat with sufficient lightings.\u00a0 It is a pleasant feeling when you enter the airport.\u00a0 The toilet is also clean and I think that is quite important as it gives an impression to the tourists.\u00a0 It also offers a good choice of Chinese restaurants and a few fast-food chains such as KFC and Mcdonalds.<\/p>\n<p>The passport control is also efficient and we do not have to wait very long to clear the queue.\u00a0 Overall, I have a
