&#8211; Unesco Site<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Schonbrunn Palace is one of Austria\u2019s most important cultural assets, \u00a0millions of visitors came to visit this place each year.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/20150621_202041.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-3781\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/20150621_202041-1024x475.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"525\" height=\"244\" imperial summer residence with 1441 rooms with\u00a0 Baroque style, but only 45 of the rooms are opened to public. \u00a0\u00a0A 70 years old local male guide helping us touring around the Palace Museum. \u00a0Photography is not allowed so there is no picture to show inside the museum. \u00a0What I could remember most was it was quite tiring from walking in and out of each room, admiring the beautiful furniture and the personal items used by Emperor Franz Joseph and his wife, Empress Elisabeth\u00a0also known as Sisi.<\/p>\n<p>I remembered there is a room specially decorated in Chinese style, with furniture imported from China, it is called the &#8220;Round Chinese Room&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Empress Sisi<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Empress Elisabeth is better known as Empress Sisi. \u00a0She\u00a0is the most famous resident in Schonbrunn Palace. \u00a0She was born in Munich, Germany but married to\u00a0 Emperor Franz Joseph and became\u00a0Queen in Austria. \u00a0She is famous for her beauty, especially her long hair and took hours to wash and care them. \u00a0She was assassinated while traveling in Geneva, Switzerland at the age of 60s. \u00a0I saw her portrait in the museum, truly beautiful with slender body and very small waist.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/20150621_213245.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img Schonbrunn Palace<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This Palace has very big and beautiful garden. \u00a0It was summer and everywhere is planted with flowers, especially red roses!<\/p>\n<p><a Garden<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is impossible to miss this beautiful garden if you were in Schonbrunn. \u00a0This park was created to overshadow the park in Versailles, France.<\/p>\n<p>Extending for 1.2 km from east to west and approximately one km from north to south. \u00a0Luckily the weather was quite windy and cooling so I was still able to manage the walking.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/20150621_214001.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large also used to hold parties for the Vienna&#8217;s elite, just imagine ladies wearing long white gloves and sipping tea slowly in this garden.<\/p>\n<p><a to Versailles in France, at least the wide structure and the color usage is in yellow look pretty similar.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Gloriette in the Schonbrunn Palace Garden<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Gloriette is often refer to a Pavilion, it looks small from the picture as it was quite far. \u00a0 You can see from the below picture, the Gloriette is resting at the top of the Schonbrunn Hill.<\/p>\n<p>The Gloriette was used as a dining hall and festival hall as well as a breakfast room for emperor Franz Joseph I. \u00a0I wonder how did the Emperor travel everyday from the main palace to the Gloriette, just to have his meals? \u00a0The distance is just too far.<\/p>\n<p>Today it has a cafe in it. \u00a0I did not manage to get up as the distance was too far and it was almost going to rain that day so remarkable artifacts left over in the Palace used by Empress Sisi. \u00a0Schonbrunn Palace is a very historical place where I have learn so much of the European History!<\/p>\n<p><a Hall Vienna<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Town Hall was built in Gothic style, with a tower similar to Gothic cathedrals. \u00a0Today the Town Hall is the head office of Vienna&#8217;s municipal administration. \u00a0More than 2000 people working here. \u00a0It must be super cool to work in this old building. \u00a0The central tower is the most impressive part of the building, it is 105 meters high.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/20150621_223526.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter Cathedral, Vienna<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>St. Stephen&#8217;s Cathedral is the mother church of the Roman Catholic. \u00a0What make this church unique is the multi-colored tile roof and has become one of the city&#8217;s most recognizable symbols. \u00a0Look carefully at the roof top, really nice pattern.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/20150621_233305.jpg\" Palace<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Good thing traveling in Europe is you will find many Palaces in different architecture style and worth spending some time to explore.<\/p>\n<p>The Hofburg is the former imperial palace in Vienna but today it is used for official residence and workplace of the President of Austria. \u00a0It was the main imperial residence in winter and Schonbrunn Palace serve as a secondary residence in the summer.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/20150621_235200.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" Hofburg Palace. \u00a0I saw horse carriage carrying tourists round the square.
