From Kaifeng North station to Luoyang Longmen station, it takes about an hour by high speed train.<\/p>\n<h3>Our Itinerary in Luoyang 4D3N<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Day 1<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>From Kaifeng North took 9am high speed train to Luoyang Longmen, arrived at around 10 + in the morning. Took a taxi in the station to our hotel, glad it allows us to early check in. Most hotels allowed us for early check in in China.<\/li>\n<li>Load our luggage in hotel and immediately depart to Baima Shi \/ White Horse Temple<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-38280 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/luoyang4.jpg\" alt=\"Exploring China with High Speed Train - 3rd city Luoyang \u6d1b\u9633\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Before we went in to Baima Shi, we had the Luoyang Water Feast for lunch<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-38278 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/luoyang2.jpg\" alt=\"Exploring China with High Speed Train - 3rd city Luoyang \u6d1b\u9633\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" \/> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-38279 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/luoyang3.jpg\" alt=\"Exploring China with High Speed Train - 3rd city Luoyang \u6d1b\u9633\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You need about 1-2 hours to spend in Baima shi<\/li>\n<li>\u968b\u5510\u6d1b\u9633\u57ce\u56fd\u5bb6\u9057\u5740\u516c\u56ed Sui and Tang Luoyang City National Heritage Park 1-2 hours.\u00a0 Personally I think you don&#8217;t have to go in because the entrance ticket is quite expensive RMB 90 \/SGD 18 and there is no need to go in.\u00a0 The dance performance is only average.\u00a0 There is a tea ceremony but you have to pay for the seats which include tea, about RMB30\/ SGD 5.\u00a0 Else you have stand and watch the tea ceremony.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-38282 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/luoyang6.jpg\" alt=\"Exploring China with High Speed Train - 3rd city Luoyang \u6d1b\u9633\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Louyang Old Street \u6d1b\u9633\u8001\u8857 which is very near to our Hotel.\u00a0 Lots of street food and light up at night.\u00a0 We had Lamb steamboat and then walked back to our hotel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-38286 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/luoyang10.jpg\" alt=\"Exploring China with High Speed Train - 3rd city Luoyang \u6d1b\u9633\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 2<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Shaolin Temple, we depart at 9am and arrived at around 10 am.\u00a0 There are many guides waiting at the entrance, you can hire one to guide you and explain the history.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-38295 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/luoyang19.jpg\" alt=\"Exploring China with High Speed Train - 3rd city Luoyang \u6d1b\u9633\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We paid for the tram so it brings us to the top, which is about 2 km walk.\u00a0 The tram drive suggest us to visit from the top and walk down.\u00a0 He also suggest us to visit Song Mountain.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-38293 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/luoyang17.jpg\" alt=\"Exploring China with High Speed Train - 3rd city Luoyang \u6d1b\u9633\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To visit Song Mountain, you need to catch the cable car to go up, it about15 mins up.\u00a0 The Song Mountain is very big, we only manage to walk a small portion of the route.\u00a0 It was all stairs up and down. You need about 3 to 4 hours to explore the routes but we only spend 1 to 2 hours up there.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-38289 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/luoyang13.jpg\" alt=\"Exploring China with High Speed Train - 3rd city Luoyang \u6d1b\u9633\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Had our simple lunch at the foot of Song Mountain before we start to explore Shaolin Temple.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-38294 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/luoyang18.jpg\" alt=\"Exploring China with High Speed Train - 3rd city Luoyang \u6d1b\u9633\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>There are a few free shows, included in the ticket, so do check the timetable and go in 15 mins before show started.<\/li>\n<li>Do not visit the shaolin show which is located at the side of the temple, you need to pay extra money.<\/li>\n<li>We leave Shaolin Temple at around 3.30pm as it started to rain.\u00a0 We took taxi back to Luoyang and had BBQ duck for dinner which is just next to our hotel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-38297 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/luoyang21.jpg\" alt=\"Exploring China with High Speed Train - 3rd city Luoyang \u6d1b\u9633\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The big metal pot is use for cooking.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 3<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Longmen Grottoes, about half an hour to reach from hotel<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-38304 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/luoyang28.jpg\" alt=\"Exploring China with High Speed Train - 3rd city Luoyang \u6d1b\u9633\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It takes about 2-3 hours to explore<\/li>\n<li>The floor get slippery when it rains, so be extra careful as there are lot of steps.<\/li>\n<li>In the afternoon, we went to Luoyang Museum, local need to do reservation to enter, foreigners can use passport for entry.\u00a0 Entry is free.\u00a0 Best is to hire a guide to lead and explain to you the history.<\/li>\n<li>Back to hotel to take a rest, at around 4pm,\u00a0 we went \u5468\u516c\u5e99<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-38312 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/luoyang36.jpg\" alt=\"Exploring China with High Speed Train - 3rd city Luoyang \u6d1b\u9633\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Then to Luoyi ancient city \u6d1b\u9091\u53e4\u57ce.\u00a0 You will see lots of people wearing hanfu taking photos.\u00a0 Best time to visit when light up in the evening.\u00a0 Lots of shops for snacks and souvenirs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-38308 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/luoyang32.jpg\" alt=\"Exploring China with High Speed Train - 3rd city Luoyang \u6d1b\u9633\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 4<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Took high speed train to Xian<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Top places to visit in Luoyang<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Baima Shi\/White Horse Temple &#8211; you can wear traditional clothing, outside there are a lot of photographers to follow you around and teach you how to pose for pictures.<\/li>\n<li>\u968b\u5510\u6d1b\u9633\u57ce\u56fd\u5bb6\u9057\u5740\u516c\u56ed Sui and Tang Luoyang City National Heritage Park<\/li>\n<li>Louyang Old Street \u6d1b\u9633\u8001\u8857 &#8211;
