Towels were individually wrapped in plastic. Two types of slippers were provided \u2014 plastic bathroom slippers and thick indoor slippers. Large bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash were available.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1063\" data-end=\"1194\">A thoughtful touch was the sleep spray placed in the room. Android and Apple chargers were also provided.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1196\" data-end=\"1376\">After returning from dinner, the hotel surprised us with white fungus lotus dessert sent to our room \u2014 not overly sweet and very comforting. The small shops and narrow alleyways were especially interesting to explore.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1701\" data-end=\"1704\" \/>\n<h2 data-start=\"1706\" data-end=\"1757\">Day 2 \u2013 Museums and Kaiyuan Temple<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1759\" data-end=\"1863\">Breakfast at the hotel was excellent (5\/5). Curious, we decided to join the line \u2014 and it was worth it. The tofu was freshly fried, crispy on the outside and soft inside, and served with a wide variety of toppings. Customers could choose and customise their own toppings, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a satisfying and flavourful snack.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2072\" data-end=\"2197\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-41046 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/20251225_153758.jpg\" alt=\"China 13 days Itinerary Quanzhou Chaozhou and Guangzhou\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Later we went to the puppet show.<\/p>\n<p>This is the famous Quanzhou Puppet Show \u2014 a thousand-year-old traditional performance. And these aren\u2019t ordinary puppets. They\u2019re fully string-controlled, with incredibly detailed movements.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets cost about SGD18 and even include tea and some snacks while you wait. I booked mine through Trip.com \u2014 super easy.
