I am sure the island of Taiwan offers an incredibly unique and safe cycling experience for cyclists.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161018_102957e.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-780\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161018_102957e-640x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"934\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Stop by a beautiful spot to take this picture with little red bridge behind me. \u00a0The good thing about self-driving is you can stop anywhere you want.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/hualien-paddy-field.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-756\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/hualien-paddy-field-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"438\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span class=\"s2\">Taitung Brown&#8217;s Road \/ \u4f2f\u6717\u5927\u9053\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>What is Mr Brown&#8217;s Road?<\/p>\n<p>It is a small county avenue in Chihshang\/\u6c60\u4e0a of Taitung, it becomes widely popular due to a commercial few years ago.<\/p>\n<p>The road was first made famous by Takeshi Kaneshiro (\u91d1\u57ce \u6b66) in a series of commercials\u00a0on Eva Air. \u00a0Soon after mainly local tourists rush to this place to enjoy the beautiful nature and country lifestyle.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161018_114544e.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1188\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161018_114544e-760x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"787\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Similar dresses at<a href=\"http:\/\/ever-pretty.com\"> ever-pretty.com<\/a><\/h3>\n<p>Tourists can rent bicycles to explore the area. \u00a0There are many types of bicycles, \u00a02 wheels, \u00a03 wheels, 4 wheels auto with an engine or 4 wheels self-paddle. \u00a0We rented a 4 wheels auto with the engine because we were lazy to paddle.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-799\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161018_120633e-482x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"482\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I saw this place in the commercial\u00a0before I went and I was very attracted to this &#8220;nonboundary&#8221; paddy fields.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161018_120008.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-784\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161018_120008-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"329\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This place has breathtaking paddy field and mountain scenery -undoubtedly one must go to! \u00a0Unlike other paddy fields, it gets distracted by other tall building or houses. \u00a0We went in the month of October and we could still enjoy the golden greenish paddy field. \u00a0I think the paddy should get harvested\u00a0very soon.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161018_120124.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-785\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161018_120124-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"329\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This place is also known as &#8220;The road leads to Heaven&#8221;. \u00a0I noticed there is not a single lamp post along the route, which made it so unique and boundless feeling.<\/p>\n<p>We were lucky to go there in October before the paddy gets harvested, else we can only see brown soil. \u00a0So choosing the right time and right season to go is very important and to avoid all disappointment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Giant Tree in Brown&#8217;s Road<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There is a huge giant tree in the Brown Road. \u00a0This tree is also another highlight in Brown Road simply because Kaneshiro Takeshi \/\u91d1\u57ce\u6b66 was sitting there in the advertisement. \u00a0People called it &#8220;Kaneshiro Takeshi tree&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>I was trying to imitate how Kaneshiro Takeshi sit and the picture was taken before I was ready with Kaneshiro pose. \u00a0It turned out ok.<\/p>\n<p>Beautiful landscape highly recommended to spend a few hours cycling and exploring the wonderful paddy scenery.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161018_120452e.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-786\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161018_120452e-693x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"863\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We had Chishang bento for lunch after our bike rides in Brown&#8217;s Road. Chishang is famous for its little wooden box bento. \u00a0Quite a fair bit of variety in this little wooden bento, some pork, some chicken, some green vegetable, small pieces of radish \/daikon, half an egg, some fish cakes, some pickles of bamboo shoots and the bottom are rice.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161018_124647e.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-788\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161018_124647e-760x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"787\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Taiwan is famous for its betel nuts\/&#8221;pinang&#8221;, we saw this lady cutting the leaves into half and packing in each small plastic bag to be sold to customers.<\/p>\n<p>Along the streets and highways in Taiwan, I saw neon-lit booths with young ladies in a sexy outfit\u00a0\u00a0&#8220;betel nut beauties&#8221; \/<span lang=\"zh-Hant\" xml:lang=\"zh-Hant\">\u6ab3\u6994\u897f\u65bd<\/span>\u00a0serve customers who pull up in their cars or trucks. \u00a0Too bad the picture I captured here was an old lady. \u00a0We had our Chishang bento in her small shop.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161018_124519.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-787\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161018_124519-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"329\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Xiaoyeliu\/\u5c0f\u91ce\u67f3\u5730\u5f62\u666f<span class=\"s1\">\u89c2\u533a<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>After our lunch, we headed to xiaoyeliu. \u00a0Xiaoyeliu offers a rich variety of fascinating rock formations similar to those found at Yeliu on Taiwan&#8217;s North Shore.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161018_143316e.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-826\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161018_143316e-576x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"576\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Similar dresses at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ever-pretty.com\/us\/?utm_source=blog&amp;utm_medium=post&amp;utm_campaign=1044\">ever-pretty.com<\/a><\/h3>\n<p>Nature has taken its course in shaping the rocks formation. \u00a0The lookout to the ocean makes you feel refreshing.<span style=\"line-height: 1.625;\">\u00a0There are no entrance fees for this place. \u00a0 There was this little black dog following us throughout the whole journey. \u00a0Interestingly, the black dog welcomes us when we arrived at the car park and he even showed us the trail to Xiaoyeliu. \u00a0I wonder how this dog knew where we wanted to see as the park is quite big. \u00a0In the picture, you can see this little black beauty standing beside me but not facing the camera. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>He even ran to the other side of the existing car park to bid us goodbye when we left the park. \u00a0I still miss him.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161018_143442e.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-795\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161018_143442e-1024x1003.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"572\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Water Running Uphill -mysterious phenomenon<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.625;\">Next, we visited &#8220;water running uphill&#8221; which is only 15 mins drive from XiaoYeliu. \u00a0When we arrived we were quite curious about the &#8220;Water Running Up.&#8221; But the water really goes up. \u00a0This place has nothing much, except a few stalls selling their stuff. Since we have our own car rental and it was on our way so we did not mind to have a little stopover to view this mysterious phenomenon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161018_151110.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-1206 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/thinkerten.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/20161018_151110-634x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"943\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>F Hotel Chipen 21.8KM from Xiaoyeliu<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We drove another half an hour and arrived at\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.agoda.com\/partners\/partnersearch.aspx?cid=1769828&amp;pcs=1&amp;hid=1016043\">F Hotel Chipen<\/a><\/strong>, the hotel is famous for its hot spring. We were offered some free snacks at hotel cafe once we arrived at the hotel. \u00a0This little gesture came as a surprise as the most hotel we visited normally do not has such an offer.<\/p>\n<p>We brought along our swimming suits as we knew one must wear a swimsuit in order to go in the hot spring in Taiwan, unlike in Japan, only allow to get in all naked.
