Bourton-on-the-Water at\u00a0Cotswolds<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bourton-on-the-Water is voted as one of the most beautiful village in England. \u00a0It is about 2 hour drive from London and about one hour drive from Gloucester.<\/p>\n

This is one of the famous painting showing Bourton-on-the Water, sold in puzzle form in the souvenir shop.<\/p>\n

Tea Room\/ Tea house in English Village<\/strong><\/p>\n

As it was a raining day, so we rushed into one of the Tea Room. \u00a0Most Tea Room especially those located at the main street were full with tourists. \u00a0We managed to get into one of the Tea Room located a bit far from the main road.<\/p>\n

We had some hot coffee and hot chocolate and some\u00a0caramel shortbread. The price is very reasonable and the staff I believe are the owner are friendly too, the caramel shortbread cost GBP 1.20. \u00a0The Tea Room is also an antique shop. \u00a0A lot of treasure to hunt for if you are into collecting antiques.<\/p>\n

Tea house\/ tea Room can be seen everywhere here so it is very popular thing to do. \u00a0Go try out the homemade cookies, cakes, pastries \u00a0and other light refreshment offer in these Tea Rooms. \u00a0It’s funny that we did not order tea in the tea room but ordered coffee and hot chocolate instead \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

People travelling all over the world to check out Bourton-on-the Water, one of the most picturesque village in England. \u00a0This little gem is quite stunning and I really love the English style village.<\/p>\n

The town is actually nestled on a river flowing through the center of the Village which make it so gorgeous. \u00a0The river is really clear and many ducks were paddling happily in the clear water.<\/p>\n

Why this place is so popular among the local and world wide tourist? \u00a0I guess this is because of the attractive little bridges that cross the gently flowing River Windrush, which runs through the center of the village, also referred as ‘Venice of the Cotswolds\u2019!<\/p>\n

Opposite the river are the shops and tea rooms, as you can see, only limited car park space on the roadside as this is a very tiny village.<\/p>\n

The ducks here are not afraid of people and came near us for food. \u00a0Their feathers are really beautiful and well kept. \u00a0If you have some bread you can feed them and I am sure they would be happy to peck on your hands.<\/p>\n

If the weather permit, you can always sit down beside the crystal clear river bank and enjoy a picnic.<\/p>\n

If you like something to drink, there is a pub in the Kindgsbridge Inn, located right next to the river bank. \u00a0In good weather, I am sure these seats will be full of visitors, drinking beers and smoking cigarettes.<\/p>\n

Victoria Hall<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Victoria Hall is an old building with the clock on top of the building which is still working, located opposite the river bank. \u00a0The more than 100 years building can be hired for reception for private parties and events. \u00a0Lovely building.<\/p>\n

Crossing the arched stone bridges in the Bourton-on-the Water is really the nicest thing one should not miss. You can enjoy the tranquility of the river flow, the unspoiled architectural ancient buildings.<\/p>\n

Walking back to the other side of the river bank where a giant tree was planted in the middle of the town center.<\/p>\n

This is the perfect escape from the big cities and enjoy a cup of English tea in this Cotswolds style of English countryside.<\/p>\n
