About Kumamonjeng

Welcome to Chic . Explore . ThinkerTen.

Hello, I am Kumamonjeng.

I was born in Malaysia and moved to Sydney, Australia to obtain my higher education.  After I have graduated from University in Australia, I worked in the most famous office building in Chifley Tower in Sydney CBD, overlooked beautiful Sydney Harbour.  Since then, I have fallen in love with the beautiful landscape and wanted to explore more of other landscapes around the world.

I speak four languages, English, Chinese, Malay and Japanese. Why speaking Japanese? Because I did my post-graduate University in Japan after I won a full paid scholarship from Monbusho/Japanese Government.  When I was a student in Japan, I met students around the world and have a good mingle, understand and learn about their culture and custom.

Since then I have developed a strong interest in different cultures having lived and worked in different countries.  I am also an avid traveler, I have cover 100 cities and 30 countries around the world at present.  There is more to cover every year.  Every destination brings different surprises and I have learned to observe, adapt and understand the new surroundings.  From the travel, you learn about the real truth and not what you heard from the news or seen on TV.

There are the many types of travels one can experience and mine are mostly focus on self-driving/road trips to explore the places I wanted to see and learn about.  The exciting thing about road trip/self-driving is you can make an impromptu stop and discover a hidden gem, the drawback is you may get lost and the GPS may not be working in the area.  That is the most exciting part of the road trip! You would laugh about it when you reached home thinking about it.

On my website, you will find many useful travel experiences and tips for each country. My travel is usually done with self-drive so you can get the detailed cost of the car rental and driving conditions in that specific country.

My mission is to help people/families to go out of travel by using self-drive. Self-drive with a car-rental will allow three generations (parents, kids and grandparents) to sit together in the car and create precious memories.  The best assets we could give our loved ones are sweet memories.

On my website, you will find many travel route/road trip which was planned and done by me, please check on the summary itinerary for reference.

Only if you get out of your country, you will see the real you and understand more about yourself, to realize your own identity, your own culture, and your root.

I started writing my travel blog in Jan 2017 and has completed 200 blogs in a year’s time. Now, I am based in Singapore. Besides writing blogs, I am a disciplined bodybuilder who trains 5 days a week in the gym, lifting weights and build muscles.

Dear Kumamonjeng,
I fully agree with you, our eyes are never truly ‘opened’ until we get out of our comfort zone and travel and see the world.

Yours sincerely,
Irving 😉
