When you are in Silicon Valley exploring your tech tour, you can’t be possibly missed out the social media giant -Facebook. Here I am at the Facebook HQ in Silicon Valley.
Upon arriving at the visitor car park, you will notices blocks of colorful building all line up neatly and bright up the whole place. Next you will see friendly security officers helping you to cross the streets in the campus. They will greet you with “good morning” & “have a great day” with smile of course.
Unlike Googleplex, Facebook main campus is not allowed for visitors, unless you know someone who is working in Facebook. However, there is still a designated area/must go area which all visitors will rush there to shoot their profile picture!
There isn’t much to see in Facebook except the thumb up sign board, still you will expect a line to queue. Do wait patiently for your turn to go up the “stage” to receive the “like”.
I was copying the guy before me who did the jump pose, picture turn out to be good.
These old premises used to belong to the Sun Microsystems site.
EV (Electric Vehicle) Charging station at Facebook.
Hundreds of bikes in light blue line up outside the campus.
Including safety helmets too.
I only manage to spot one of the facilities – rock climbing stones. I believe there are many hidden gem in the main campus.
Way out to Facebook
Final thoughts :
If you are in Silicon Valley doing the tech tour, there is not harm to make a detour to Facebook to check out their famous thumb up sign located outside the campus – 1 Hacker Way. Do not have too high expectation like what you see in Googleplex compus, Facebook main campus is not allow to access for visitors unless you know someone who is working there. Having said that, you will still be surprised at the number of tourists making their pilgrimage daily here! I was kind of shock at the groups of tourists on the tech tour buses stop here for their “thumb up” picture.

That’s really cool that you can visit Facebook, I think I would go if I ever go to California.
Dear Lucicoo,
It would be more fun if you know someone who works in the Facebook HQ, then you are allowed to enter to the main campus and see all the real thing!
Such a cute and fun idea. The place is such a great spot. Will try look into this when we visit California.
What a cool day! Looks like you had a lot of fun at FB HQ!
Dear Twin,
Since I am in Silicon Valley doing tech tour, I thought I might as well make a detour to Facebook HQ and do a check in!
This looks awesome. It’s really cool you can visit Facebook HQ! It looks like a lot of fun
Dear Elizabeth,
It cool to shoot a picture at the Facebook HQ but you cannot see much as compare to GooglePlex. You will notice security guards are working hard to direct excited visitors to the “thumb up” signboard!
My hubby and I are both in IT, so taking the tech tour seems like something that we would enjoy. I would love to see the GooglePlex – and take me a Thumb photo, too.
Dear Alicia,
GooglePlex is more visitor friendly as compared to Facebook. There is only a thumb up signboard outside the main road. Expect little queue for the thumb up sign photo session.
Ah, the sacred grounds of Facebook (can you hear the choir in the background? =) I totally understand the security. Love the sign – its whimsical and totally a “sign of the times!”
Dear Evelyn,
Who doesn’t love the “sign of the times”? Everyone work hard for it! Lol.
I’ve always wanted to visit Facebook Headquarters! It is so innovative in design and amenities, I may just apply for a job LOL
Dear Lisa,
Being able to work in Facebook is my dream too! Lol!
How fun! I have never seen images of their headquarters. I love all of the blue for sure! 🙂
Dear Hill,
You love the blue and I love their multi bright color buildings, it looks refreshing and happy colors.
Pretty Little Liars have been here, right? I like the blue color, I’ve always liked it. 🙂
All the bikes are in blue color, while Google bikes are all in their icon theme color (multi-color). Both are nice but in Google, visitor can ride on the bikes and check out the campus. Not at facebook! Google is more visitor friendly!
