Let’s go Shopping

The Duty-free Mall can be fun and lot of things to look at, there is even alcohol which may be a little surprise for me. (Side note, drinking alcohol is illegal in Dubai, except for tourists or residents with an alcohol licence). The duty-free allowance includes 4l of alcohol, 400 cigarettes or 2kg of tobacco and 200ml of perfume.

1. Perfumes – OUD

The Middle East has special love when it comes to fragrance and the region’s signature scent -oud, ( Oud means “from wood” and “stick” in Arabic.) which is one of the most intense, luxurious aromas. The smell comes from agarwood trees that are infected with a special type of mold. It’s an aromatic and complex scent!

Dear Cynthia,

They have the tallest building in the world, such as Burj Khalifa and Burj Al Arab Jumeirah, the shape of the structure is designed to mimic the sail of a ship.

So many things to love about Dubai Airport. Been there before and it was really beautiful out there, you can’t feel that it was an airport.

Books are always a hit regardless of where you go. I love the little camels. It would be ideal.

Dear Dana,

I agree books help us kill time while waiting for our flight. Those camels and men in traditional costumes are easy to carry and bring home.
