The night ticket is cheaper than day ticket. The night ticket starts at 5 pm onwards. Since we arrived in Hengdian in the late afternoon, we choose to visit the night time. At night, you will see the neon lights up the whole place with retro music air in the background, a very interesting vibe. If you choose to come in the day, you will miss all the neon lights, also the highlight here.
Operating hour:
- 8 am to 5 pm (Summer) and 8 am to 4.30 pm (Winter)
- 5 pm to 8.30 pm (All seasons)
Ticket :
- Adult: RMB 120 for day and RMB 80 for night ticket
- Children cost half price and it also applies to foreigner. Proof of age is needed, so please bring along passport to show the age.
The Guangzhou Street Hong Kong Street is a shooting base built in cooperation with Director Xie Jin’s 谢晋shooting of the historical blockbuster “The Opium War”鸦片战争. It is the birthplace of Hengdian World Studio.
This location has more than 100 films and television series, such as 小李飞刀 Xiao Li Fei Dao, 新霍元甲 Huo Yuanjia (New),and the more recent one that I watched is 伪装者 The Disguiser. When you are here, you could find so many familiar scenes in the drama series.
There two parts – Guangzhou Street & Hong Kong Street
At night, part of Guangzhou Street is not open, Hong Kong Street is completely open to the public, and the neon lights of Hong Kong Street are all dynamic and colorful. There are also many shops selling snacks and drinks. It is very lively. At night, Hong Kong Street really has the sight in Hong Kong in the 19th century, the whole atmosphere was just nostalgic.
Great Place for Wedding Photography
Guangzhou Street · Hongkong Street Scenic Spot is the first choice for honeymoon tourism in Zhejiang Province. It is also one of the most distinctive bases for wedding photography in China. Wedding exhibitions are held here every spring.
You will be surprised that “BreadTalk” is also here in Hong Kong Street!
You can dine in here!
There are snacks and restaurants here, and the food was not bad too. We ordered some hot noodles since the weather is very cold. The price was reasonable and the food tasted quite good.

Dress-up experience in this area
There are a few costumes to choose from. You can choose the Chinese student costume 民国学生装, qipao (like the one I am wearing) or Zhongshan uniforms, and military uniforms. The costumes will match so well with the backdrops here. Trust me, I feel like stepping back in time.
Special tips for ladies – if you have your own qipao, it is best if you bring your own as it fits better. 🙂
Where is Hengdian World Studio?
Hengdian World Studio 横店影视城 located in Hengdian. The nearest high-speed train station is Yiwu 义乌. We caught the high-speed train from Suzhou to Yiwu which takes us about 2.5 hours. Once you arrived in Yiwu station, you can either take a bus or taxi to Hengdian. Taxi takes about an hour to reach for the 48km journey and cost about $22-27
Final thoughts:
The best time to visit Hengdian Guangzhou Street. Shanghai Street is at night, you will see all the colorful neon light up for you. The old architecture and decoration made you feel like walking into the movie. The colorful lights bring a strong visual impact, resemble the style of the Old Republic of China 民国.
