During our trip to Canberra, we stayed in the Rex Hotel which is only 5 minutes’ drive from Parliament House and the National Gallery of Australia. Located in Braddon in the city center, it is truly an ideal location.
The front desk is operating 24 hours and it did not take too long to check in when we arrived. The Hotel recently got renovated so everything looks neat and new.

Hotel Review
The room looks fresh and modern, there is a small living room with comfortable sofa and table. I like the simple theme with blue and white.

Most rooms have flat-screen cable TV, a refrigerator, a tea and coffee maker and a bathroom with a hairdryer. Some rooms also have a private balcony with city or mountain views.

An extra bed in the living room as we are three pax sharing.

I would say it is more like an apartment as there is a small living and the queen size bedroom is in another room. The bed is firm and comfortable.

Bathroom Review
There are two toilets in the apartment and one bathroom toilet. Looks super clean and spacious.

The Howling Moon
The Howling Moon is the rooftop bar in the Rex Hotel Canberra. We ordered food to our hotel room from the bar.

This place is the ultimate place for a party, dark surrounding and loud music, ideal for clubbing.

My choice of Breakfast

Final thoughts:
Rex Hotel in Canberra has the ideal location and the hotel is very new and neat. The breakfast range is good, not a wide variety but average. Serve hot and fresh! Free parking is available at the side of the hotel compound.
