We came across the sweet snacks shop in Barcelona called Torrons Vicens Agramunt. They called it Vicens and it has several shops in Barcelona and all over Spain. It has 36 franchised stores spread all over Catalonia and other parts of Spain as well as France and others countries like the United Arab Emirates Vicens serve many types of Spanish nougat, not only with almond and honey but all sorts of flavor. You named it and they have it.
Torons is the nougat confection, typically made of honey, sugar, and egg white, with toasted almonds or other nuts, and usually shaped into either a rectangular tablet or a round cake. Vicens made artisan nougat since 1775 so they are well-established. They have different sizes of Torons so you can choose for souvenirs to bring back. Of course, you can taste them before you make your choices. The staff is very friendly and they will open a lot of different flavors of tester for the customer to taste. The good thing is the staff did not pressure for sales and let you take your own sweet time to taste and browse through their products.
If you are buying for yourself you can choose the simple packing with plastic without the beautiful paper box. This cost a few Euro cheaper than the nice packaging with the box which is ideal for gifts for someone back home.
