Best Western is just few blocks away from Hollywood Boulevard and the well-known Walk of Fame. The walking distance is about 10-15 mins to the downtown of Hollywood. Universal Studio Hollywood is only 5 mins drive from this hotel. Choosing this hotel mainly because of the great location.
The parking lot is at the first level, hotel rooms start from second and third level. When you check in, tell the front desk you have a car and they will issue a ticket for you to place at front window of your car. Parking fees are needed.
The lobby and front desk is pretty small, usually one or two staff on duty. Everything is pretty self serve here. You are welcome to use the trolley located outside the main door to bring up your luggages to second or third level of your hotel rooms.
The room is pretty cosy and come with heater, coffee & tea maker and microwave oven.
Heater
Working table with good lighting and a tv.
Bathroom come with shower and a bathtub together with the toilet. Cleanliness is up to my standard. Towels are all white and no odour.
The small wardrobe come with several wooden hangers, iron board and iron.
Tea & Coffee maker place on top of the microwave oven so you will know the space is quite limited. The room is not that spacious for American standard, may be this is Hollywood.
At each level, there are few vending machine for drinks and snacks.
There is a small oval pool & jacuzzi at the back of the hotel.
A small restaurant is located at the first floor near the reception, named “Spice”.
Facing opposite is Magic Castle Hotel which has very beautiful outlook when comparing to Best Western Hollywood Plaza Inn. But then the price is also quite different.
Final thoughts :
What I like about Best Western Hollywood Plaza Inn is the great location, just within 15 mins walk to Hollywood Walk of Fame. The only downside is you may experience some noise when some other guests walk pass the corridor. The price is very competitive in Hollywood downtown area. This is more like a motel to me but the price is not cheap.

I’ve stayed in the area, and it’s crazy what you get for the price! Staying here in Michigan (where I live) you could be in a palace for the price! haha, but for the area, that hotel looks awesome, and I love that it has covered parking!!
Dear Jenna,
The price we paid in Hollywood area is expensive but Best Western is one of the cheapest we can get. It has a great location but the hotel is just like a motel style. With that price, we can stay in more luxury hotel elsewhere in America.
It looks like a really good hotel in the Best Western Hollywood Plaza Inn, it’s definitely worth it to stay there.
Staying in the hotels close to hollywood blvd can be SO pricey! This was a smart idea to stay off the main hotel area!
Hotels located near tourist spots can indeed be pretty pricey. This hotel is a good choice, considering its proximity to downtown Hollywood.
Looks liek a great place to stay in while in California. Ths is so perfect since I am planning to have a trip on Cali.
This looks like a cosy place to stay, and being really close to the walk of fame too is a definite bonus!
Oh how fun…it looks like you had a blast. This is definitely a nice place to stay when traveling.
Looks like a good enough place to stay to get much needed rest after enjoying the sights in Hollywood. I would definitely consider this place if I get a chance to visit Hollywood.
Sounds like a great place in California especially if you’re going to be there for more than a couple of days. I think it’s really lovely.
A hotel at this price is real worth. I am going to look into it and book it on my next trip!
Thank you for reviewing a hotel that is actually somewhere I could afford to stay when traveling!
You get what you can in a busy, overcrowded place like Hollywood, California. I visited the place in early 2000 and it was crazy busy. That hotel looks like it’s got amenities anyone can appreciate during their stay.
Anywhere with a coffee AND a tea maker has my heart. The hotel doesn’t look half bad!
Always wanted to visit the Magic Castle Hotel, that is exciting you got to stay in Hollywood.
