Singapore DuckTours Experience

Singapore Duck Tour Experience

If you have never try duck tour before, then it is time to try at least once. This ride will not disappoint you. The amphibious Ducktour starts from land then “Splash” into the water.  In just an hour, you get to see 80% of the must see historical sites in Singapore. The tour route is a carefully planned journey through the most popular tourist areas of the city.

There is an English and Chinese speaking guide in the duck tour.  She will give you some introduction both in Chinese and English.  You will notice there are two drivers in the Duck Tour, one for the land and the other one is for the water driver.

The next batch of Duck Tour tourists are lining up to hop in.  Obviously very good business.  Over 1 million passengers has tried  Duck Tour for the past 15 years.

Final thoughts :

Duck Tour is really a great way to see Singapore even for local Singaporean.  You can act like a tourist and hop in the duck tour, learn more about Singapore and the important landmarks from the Singapore River view, it is totally a different perspective for the water.  You will enjoy it especially the moment the duck enter into the water, you will hear lot of screaming and yelling from the passengers!  That is the most fun part of all.  One little tips, stay away from the first row behind the driver seat because you may get wet when the water splash.

Thanks for your comment. Doing the duck tour is really fun to start with when you explore Singapore. You get to see the whole skyline from the Singapore River so I guess it is a good intro to Singapore.

Sounds like a very interesting tour. It would be very interesting for me to see the old Supreme Court and the Gardens sound like a pleasant attraction too! I’ve never been to Singapore, but if I get there, I will take this tour upon your recommendation 🙂

We have Duck Tours here in Washington, DC (USA) too and I get invited to go all the time, but I’m no so fond of boat tours because I get sea sick easily.

Reply
kumamonjeng June 3, 2018 - 2:55 am

Dear Hipmama,
I heard about duck tour in Washington DC and love to try it out when I visit East Coast next few years. However duck tour Singapore won’t cause any sea sick at all. The whole duration is about 45 mins to an hour and the boat goes very slow and there is no waves in Singapore River.

I agree, you can see a lot of beautiful spot by duck tour. Though, Singapore is not a huge city to roam around but its cleanliness and security will truly make you fell home. I missed Singapore a lot.
