Where to stay in Coffs Harbour? Park Beach Holiday Park Review

During our Australian road trip (from Gold Coast to Sydney), we stopped in Coffs Harbour and we choose to stay in Park Beach Holiday Resort located in Park Beach. The beach area called Park Beach is only 5 mins walk from the resort and one of the famous beaches in Coffs Harbour.  The resort is also a great location for caravan and glamping.  The best thing is the price is very affordable.

Check-in

Check in and out is pretty fast.  Once we have gotten our key, we drove to check out our villa.

Shop in the reception

If you forgot to bring your sunscreen, you can always come to the little shop at the reception.  There are sunglasses, snacks, drinks, little souvenirs and little pail for sands.

Villa Review

The parks are located on beachside properties with a wide selection of accommodation options to suit everyone. We choose to stay in a 2 bedrooms villa.  Parking is just next to the villa and is free of charge.

Double Bedroom Review

The room is not too big but it fits a queen size double bed and two side tables on each side.  The lightings are good, as it has extra reading lights on the wall.  Two windows with build in blinds.

Bathroom Review

The villa has only one bathroom for 4 pax sharing.  Clean towels and toiletries, hairdryer are provided.  The bathroom has two doors which are connected to the two rooms in this villa.

Other Room Review

The other room in this villa is smaller and has a double decker bed.  Clean bedsheets and pillow case covers are located in the wardrobe, you have to make your own bedsheet.

Kitchen Review

You can cook a simple meal in this kitchen, there is a microwave oven, fridge, an electric kettle, and an electric stove.  Pots and pans sit inside the cupboard.  Of course, there are plates and drinking cups too.  A small table with few chairs in case you want to have your meal there.  We did not cook for our dinner as we didn’t feel like cooking, we had our dinner outside.  However, we did prepare our breakfast and made simple instant noodles and coffee.  The Park Beach bowling club is located nearby and you may want to check it out.

I won’t say the living room is very big but it has a tv, two sofa chairs and air condition.

Muttonbird Island

Opposite Park Beach is the famous Muttonbird Island, also the jewel in the crown of Coffs Harbour. If you have time, do pay a visit to Muttonbird Island, you will enjoy the walking with beautiful natural surroundings and a nice view.

We woke up early and went for a morning stroll in Park Beach before we headed to Port Macquarie.

Park Beach boasts many facilities such as bbq, picnic tables, children’s play area and lots of shady trees. We spotted few off leash dogs opposite of Park Beach. Dogs are not allowed in Park Beach but dogs are welcome in the south of Coffs Creek inlet.

Caravan & RV in Park Beach Holiday Park

Caravanning and camping is a significant industry in Australia, this is because Australians are known for their laid-back attitude and love of the great outdoors. Park Beach Holiday Park offers great amenities for camping and caravan.  Not just in Park Beach Holiday Park, there are tons of caravan park in this area.

Final thoughts:

Beach Park Holiday Park in Coffs Harbour is pleasant to stay, the villa and the park are well kept.  Lots of amenities and conveniently located to the beach and town.  I highly recommended this park for the family with young children as it has lots of playgrounds and amenities to keep them busy.

I like the separate villas that Park Beach Holiday Park offers to their guests, as you get more privacy and quieter nights that if the rooms were all in one building. I like that the holiday park has so many amenities to ensure the fun of its gets. And the location seems to be perfect.

I’ve never been to Australia, but Coffs Harbor sounds like a great little place to visit. And what a fab place to stay once there – everything a traveler could want or need!
